The Florida Panthers Alliance was formed prior to the 2008/09 travel hockey season when the South Florida Golden Wolves and Florida Junior Panthers joined forces to provide AAA level youth hockey players an opportunity to compete on a National Tier 1 level without leaving home.

In both of its first two seasons, the Florida Panthers Alliance had teams advance out of the Southeast District to compete in the 2009 and 2010 National Championships.

On July 21, 2010 a wonderful person and dear member of the Hockey Community in South Florida tragically passed away. There are no words that can express how much Rob will be missed. For those of us lucky enough to know him, Rob will live on forever in our hearts. And when our tears of loss subside we will surely smile as we remember Rob's huge heart, his encouragement, his dedication, his great stories and sense of humor...and that infectious Rob Kenny smile.
